RAFB Air Show
Randolph Composite Squadron will be participating at the RAFB Air Show on Nov 3rd and 4th. Cadets participating in the Cadet Programs table will wear Blues while cadets participating at the Emergency Services table will wear BDUs. This will be a great opportunity for recruiting as well as learning more about Civil Air Patrol. Group will have two planes out with imaging equipment and it should be a fun event.
Group "Rec" Day
July 28 will be a group "Rec" day. This will take place at Brooks City Base in building 189 from 1000 to 1700. Cadets are encouraged to bring $5 - $10 for food at Whataburger or bring their own lunch. We are borrowing a bus from Randolph AFB to carpool everyone down. Be at Randolph AFB at our normal meeting place at 0930 if you wish to catch a ride.
GSARSS
There is going to be a new and exciting type of GSARSS (Ground Search And Rescue Specialty School) this winter. If you have ever wanted to do search and rescue here is your chance to be trained by top-notch personnel who know their stuff. RAFBCAP will not be assisting the 12 FTW this year with their celebration. The celebration is going to take place at Lackland AFB this year.
Flight Simulators
Randolph AFB CAP Cadets will have an opportunity to enjoy the T-1 and T-6 simulators thanks to the US Air Force 12 Fighter Training Wing.
RAFB CAP Launches Rocketry Program
January 9, 2007 Randolph Composite Squadron completed the written portion of the Rocketry Program. This written portion ensures the cadets are aware of safety measures during the program. Over the next couple months, the Cadet will build and lauch rockets while learning the physics behind it.
